TL;DR: I recently defended my PhD at the University of California, San Diego, advised by Professor Julian McAuley.
I am generally interested in the intersection of human and machine decision-making.
Among other projects, I’ve developed algorithms that mitigate your cognitive bias in sequential decisions, minimize the amount of sequential decisions you have to make, and avoid cognitive bias in language models.
During my PhD, I interned at Apple and Microsoft and I was selected as an Apple Scholar in AI/ML.
When I don't research, I enjoy the great outdoors when travelling, hiking, mountaineering, surfing, etc.
